Ride To Vancouver and Back

We decided that we needed to get to town today to run a couple of errands.  I was thinking "Infinity! What a great car!"   Hubby was thinking "Scooooooterrrrssss!"  So, we rode.
After having breakfast at Denny's which was not that great today, we headed back toward home.  On the way back, I developed a hankering for some coffee.  We stopped at a popular biker's stop on the highway.  I was glad to give my rear end a rest as I had not ridden but once since we returned from our last two trips last week.

It was good to be able to rest for a few minutes before heading back home.  For some reason though, it seemed like a very LONG RIDE......So, I just wanted to sit "out of the saddle" for a few more minutes and enjoy the scenery. I think we both had a case of "monkey butt" because we had not been on our bikes in a couple of days....sooooo, we were going to pay for that.....very shortly! ha

The view from our table......:-)

Scootard was enjoying the rest too.  .....:-).

Well, our little break had to come to an end as we were needing to get back to our own town.  So, we geared back up and headed out with still another errand to run.

After picking up an auto part from a local store.....we headed home where we called it a day.....or at least I did.  Scootard had to put the part on.....ha.

It was a short trip that lasted from 8:30am to 1:45pm.......I have no idea what took us so long.  Unless it was that WRONG TURN I took into Stanely Park instead of to the highway.........ha.....ooopppss.  Oh well.  home now and happy about it!

See you somewhere out "there"!

you ride those on the highway and call them "scooters"? wow! I thought scooters were like motorized bicycles...sort of for town cruising. Learn something new every day! LOVE the country there! Beautiful! Blessings!

Isn't it funny how sometimes short errands seem to take longer on two wheels.

I really like your keychain in your header pic. Way cool.

Becca,

You may be referring to "mopeds" which are motorized bicycles. Scooters can range in power from 50cc-700cc. They are like motorcycles but usually have frames around the inner workings and have automatic transmissions. Twist and go!

yeah, I can't believe that short trip took us all morning and part of the afternoon! ha.....

A friend of mine brought that back from Thailand to me as a gift last year I believe. It's my "trademark" now.....:-).

The keychain actually came from Vegas. We have been having some warm weather lately 93F yesterday (34C.) and about 86F today (30C.) I am glad I got the starter installed in the car today as it's predicted to be 89F. tomorrow.
Scooterchick and I both have mesh jackets with armor so a little cooler to ride in in this weather, but when it's easy over 100F. in the sun it's good too seek shade and water!!!

hahaha, Thanks! I still think that key chain was brought back to me from Thailand and not Vegas....but I'll check with my friend for sure.

ScooterChick:

I have learned many years ago not to argue, so your keychain came from Thailand (Right Scootard?) I think if you ask him now he would admit to have been mistaken.

Now why wouldn't you come down on Saturday morning instead, after all I love to have breakfast too. I think I like IHOP better than Dennys, but we have been going to TugBoat Annies which is better again.

that doesn't look like a very big box for a starter motor ?

Well, Bob....believe it or not..I checked with the lady that gave me the gift and she said she got it in Vegas! hahaha....WHAT!?...haha Oh well...:-). Scootard was right!

Well, we had to come yesterday anyway because of errands with the business that had to be taken care of. I thought you were gone again!...:-). I agree, I like IHop a lot better than Dennys....:-(. We have not eaten at tugBoat Annies before. Where is that?

I thought the box for the starter was going to be bigger than that too. But that was it and it's on nice and snug....:-). Hopefully, that is all we will have to get done to the car before we leave. We just had it serviced with new brakes, calipers, spark plugs, etc getting ready for the road again. The last thing I need is to break down somewhere pulling a trailer with two scooters on it!
