I had only been on a boat ride once in my life before marrying my Chris. Now, I've been several times, but this was the first time on the Tecoma going in this direction! I'm always amazed at how many people and vehicles they can pack on to these things!
We set "sail" so to speak and the harbor was beautiful with Seattle's new Ferris Wheel looming large in the backdrop....:-)
I've thought of living in one of those top floor apartments and then thought again when I found out the estimated price of doing so....ha
My husband, the "point and shoot" king!
He was leaning over the rail so far at one point until our friend was holding his shirt tail!
When we finally arrived, the first order of business was lunch! I spotted all of these flags representing Scandanavian countries with a splash of Canada and the US in the mix....:-)
The Norwegian flag was standing alone in front of a building that housed the fraternal organization called "The Sons Of Norway".
This statue was decicated to the mayor of the city of Paulsbo. He was a long serving mayor and apparently a "Scandahoovian"....
Chris commanding his Viking ship...."The AchristoPat".....haha
A view from the docks....
As you know from some of my other posts, I like things that speak of "passage" and "transition". I'm sorry I couldn't get a better shot, but the people sitting at the other end of the alley were weirded out by staring at them....ha. I was only trying to get my camera angle right.....:-(.
And THEN, we saw this! ha....uh oh....
I took a particular interest in these little things called "Viking Cups"..The are the dough of a cinammon roll but stuff with some kind of a cream cheese frosting....I could only eat part of one as I found it a little too rich for my liking.
We walked around a bit more and decided that we needed to get back to the landing docks to catch the next ferry. It was really warm outside.
Since I was the warmest, I waited on a Viking bench...
We headed back toward the docks and started the trip back to Seattle.
And here we are, at the place of beginnings!
Thanks for coming along!

Actually we went with friends in their Van for this one! haha....But I still considered it one of my adventures. Thus the sub title "Wheesl, wings and water" on my blog! Yes, the weather has been very warm. At times too warm! I cannot believe how adapted I am now to cool, damp, BC.
what a lovely day with amazing pictures! you're a great photogrpaher!
I do my best with my little "point and shoot" camera. It's a Canon PowerShot SD1300IS. My husband's camera takes such better pics than mine....:-)
Lovely scenery. I like the new motto/subtitle of your blog. Traveling by WWW...
Dang, I should have come up with this...
Ah Yes!
My darling Scooterchick doing a marvelous job of entertaining the blogosphere with tales of travels, chow and scenery. What a talented wife I have, who knew that blogging diva was in her future?
hahaha.....Thanks Sonja...
Well, it occurred to me that we travel a lot, but not always by scooter! So, I didn't want to limit my self to a particular mode of travel.
haha....I sure didn't know!
That looks like a lot of fun. I've often seen the ferries going back and forth when at the waterfront but I've never been on one out of Seattle.
Poulsbo looks like a neat little town. And that bakery, yummy!
Yes, yes she is! You two find the coolest places!
