Today was a very nice day after the rain and misting stopped. It rained all day yesterday and part of today.

I battled a severe headache today, but after I felt I had recovered somewhat, hubby and I decided that we go over to the golf club for some lunch. |
He always looks at me like that....:-). He's in love!
I ordered a chicken quesadilla thingee and a non-alchoholic beer.
I can't remember what Scootard ordered...??
It was a beautiful day, but a bit windy. Since it is challenging for me to ride in the wind, we decided to wait until later or tomorrow to go out on the scooters. My head still was not 100% and we had some shopping to do for our upcoming Anniversary trip to the states this weekend.

We even went back and got more stuff. Seems like a lot of little stuff is needed on these trips. This will be our first time! I hope it all fits! ha |

We finally decided on a tent and went and purchased it yesterday after doing some research. Settled on the Ozarka Trail Windigo Sport Dome for 4 persons. I figured since neither of us are small people, it wouldn't hurt to err on the side of caution. ha. Plus my hubby is a tall guy of 6'1".

And of course I have to have these! My trusting riding boots. But I hate it when my feet get tired and I have nothing to change into when I want to take a walk. So, my tennis shoes will be going with us as well as a pair of comfortable sandles.

It is going to be an adventure for sure. We set up the tent in the living room to check it out. It is very spacious. Now to spray the fly with silicone and try to figure out how to fit everything on the scooooooooooters!
yep... that's the challenge since neither of us have side bags. Although,Scootard does have a lot of storage under the Majesty and I have a topcase. We both have back seats that we can tie things down on as well. Good thing this one is only for a week!
Reminds me of getting ready for camping trips years ago. It could have been an aggravation, but the anticipation of a vacation made it fun in its own way.
That quesadilla looked delish.
It was and Mexican food is not my favorite either! I would have it again though if I just had to have Mexican food. I like the enviroment most of all....:-).
Planning and packing is half the fun. Wishing a safe trip. Lots of pictures please.
Have fun planning your route and figuring out what to pack.
I am looking forward to your trip report. And I plead with Sonja too - take lots of pictures please.

Finally today I have stable INTERNET. Yesterday was still flaky. I am currently in a tent on the Oregon coast in Waldport. This is new to me too. I know I need to make some changes in the way I pack and what has to be accessible and not. The camping stuff takes a lot of room, so it ends up by you taking less clothes. and shoes are space wasters.
maybe see you on Sunday on your way south. send me an email
